In understanding the many needs across communities in Nigeria, NWN aims to leverage the Maslow Hierarchy of Needs model. What is it that every community needs to live a sustainable life? They need education, energy, access to water, internet, health, entertainment, access to faith, they need recreation (a way to physically stay healthy), access to a way to work, and ways to build financial wealth. NWN aims to be the intermediary to bridge these gaps and provide such services. NWN plans to give communities health scores based on these metrics. This will be an ongoing process with iterations of these metrics building upon each other. (Ex: No clean water within 5 miles will lead to a score of 70 and getting an accessible clean water source could raise the score for this community 7-10 basis points.). NWN differentiates itself by assessing based on these metrics, essentially identifying the weaknesses of these communities. What problem is most pressing? Rather than assuming that each community has the same need and projecting general solutions onto other communities, NWN attacks the root causes of each society’s specific demand. This creates a better focus in addition to much more intentional and efficient solutions to problems. NWN plans to leverage personal and professional connections in Nigeria and abroad to provide financial support to people groups that need it. Corporate partnerships are the second way in which NWN plans to build its platform. Corporate donors unlock the next level of NWN’s mission to reach a new domain of individuals, a new network of people, and a new wave of amelioration that will help drive these projects to completion and accomplish the goals that NWN has set for itself to assist others. NWN has secured a corporate partnership with Microsoft and is looking to expand into other spaces:
